2011: A New Year for Italian
With the New Year just around the corner, we thought we’d celebrate by giving you some of our favorite recipes from 2010 and a few ideas for eating healthy in 2011. Because many foodies
are resolving to drop some of those Holiday Cookie Pounds, we want to tell you that you can still eat deliciously Italian on your heath-conscious journey into 2011.
DeLallo offers up some classic Italian foods that are just as good for you as they are tasty: items like our imported line of olive oils (link to oils), savory cured olives from all over the world and, of course, the myriad of pasta cuts we offer in organic whole wheat. A few months back, I blogged about the benefits of whole wheat, as well as a discussion on our brand. And in our article, Get the Scoop on Olives: A Healthy Indulgence, we talk about olives as a source of antioxidants, good cholesterol, vitamins and more.
What is so great about so many of our authentic goods is that they are naturally nutritious and heart-healthy. And I didn’t even mention our line of jarred peppers, artichokes, garlic and imported Italian tomatoes. All of these bring flavor to your salads, pastas and sandwiches without all the fat. See, delicious Italian cuisine can be a health-conscious indulgence without all the big changes and bland ingredients!
