Cheesy Pepperoni Pizza Pockets

For your Shopping Cart:

With only a few ingredients, we turn an Italian-American favorite into a hit for your antipasti platter or maybe just a quick lunch. We use easy everyday ingredients to create a mozzarella, provolone and pepperoni-stuffed pocket that is just as delicious as it is simple.

Ingredients:

  • 2 (13.8-ounce) tubes of store-bought, pizza dough
  • 1 (14-ounce) jar DeLallo Pizza Sauce
  • 1/2 cup shredded mozzarella
  • 1/2 cup shredded provolone
  • 1/2 pound sliced pepperoni
  • DeLallo Extra Virgin Olive Oil

Directions:

Preheat oven to 425°F.

Roll out pizza dough and cut into 3" by 3" squares. One by one, press each square, then sauce with approximately 1 tablespoon or more of sauce. Fill with a mixture of mozzarella and provolone and 2 or more slices of pepperoni.

Carefully, pinch square shut, forming a triangle. We used a fork to press edges. To avoid bursting, we cut small slits into the top of pocket.

Brush pockets with extra virgin olive oil and bake for about 10 to 15 minutes, or until golden brown. Cool and serve.

*May substitute both cheeses and sliced pepperoni with other fillings, such as: any grated cheese, cooked sausage, bacon, ham, diced vegetables or olives.
