Ingredients:• 2 tablespoons DeLallo Extra Virgin Olive Oil • 1 small onion, finely chopped • 1 clove of garlic, smashed • 1 hot chili pepper, optional • 4 DeLallo Flat Fillet Anchovies • 1/2 cup DeLallo Green Pitted Olives Gigante, sliced • 1 tablespoon DeLallo Non Pareil Capers • 1 28oz can DeLallo Imported Crushed Tomatoes • 3 tablespoons water • Salt and pepper to taste • 1 lb DeLallo Penne Ziti Directions:Heat the olive oil in a large pan. Add the onion, garlic, chili pepper, and anchovies. Cook over medium heat until the anchovies break down and melt. Add the olives and capers and sauté for a minute. Add the tomatoes, water, and salt and peppers to taste. Stir and bring to a boil, then lower the heat to a simmer for 20 minutes, stirring occasionally. Meanwhile, bring 5 quarts of water to a boil, add salt. Drop in the pasta, stir and cover the pot. When the water returns to a boil, remove the lid and cook until al dente. Drain the pasta lightly. Return the pasta to the saucepan. Toss well for 2 minutes, with the heat on high. Serve immediately. Serves 4 |
