Pepperazzi with Fontina Grilled Cheese

An upgrade on those old American singles grilled cheese sandwiches. Grilled Fontina Cheese sandwiches with slices of Pepperazzi are a treat for the Big Kid in you.

Ingredients:

For each Sandwich:

2 slices of Danish Fontina
3 slices of DeLallo Pepperazzi
1 slice crispy DeLallo Pancetta, optional
2 slices baguette bread
2 tablespoons butter

Directions:

Put the cheese and the Pepperazzi between the slices of bread. Heat 1 tablespoon of the butter in a skillet or grill and when melted add the sandwich. Gently press down with a spatula once or twice during the grilling. When one side is golden, add the remaining tablespoon of butter, turn the sandwich over, and brown. If your cheese is not completely melted inside place the sandwich on a baking sheet inside a 450 degree oven for 3 minutes until the cheese melts.
