Spaghettini with Roasted Garlic Sauce

Ingredients:

  • 1 whole head of garlic
  • 1 lb DeLallo Spaghettini
  • 1/2 cup DeLallo Extra Virgin Olive Oil
  • salt and pepper
  • DeLallo Grated Parmesan Cheese, to serve

Directions:

Preheat the oven to 350 degrees. Place the garlic in an oiled baking pan and roast it for 30 minutes.

Bring a large pot of water to a boil. Add some salt and then the pasta. Cook until al dente.

Allow the garlic to cool, then lay it on its side and slice off the top third of the head. Hold the garlic over a bowl and dig out the flesh from each clove with a knife. When all the garlic has been removed from the head , pour the olive oil  into the bowl and mix well.

Drain the pasta and return it to the pot. Add the garlic mixture and stir over high heat until well mixed. Serve immediately with freshly grated parmesan.
