Spaghetti with Hot Pepper and Garlic Sauce

Ingredients:

  • 1 lb DeLallo Spaghetti
  • 3 tablespoons DeLallo Extra Virgin Olive Oil
  • 3 tablespoons DeLallo Hot Pepper Garlic Sauce
  • 1 tablespoon Italian parsley, Chopped
  • DeLallo Natural Sea Salt Fine (to taste)
  • fresh ground black pepper (to taste)

Directions:

Heat a large skillet over medium heat. Add the olive oil, hot pepper garlic and parsley and heat until just bubbling.  Season to taste with salt and pepper, and set aside on low heat.

Meanwhile bring a large pot of water to a rolling boil, add salt. Add the spaghetti and cook until al dente. Drain in a colander, saving some of the pasta water.

Add the spaghetti into the skillet mixture and toss thoroughly to coat. Add more salt and pepper to taste if necessary. Turn out into a pasta dish and serve hot. 

Serve with a Cabernet Sauvignon.

Note: You can easily transform this sauce into a spicy marinara by adding crushed tomatoes. Simmer until reduced by half its volume and toss with spaghetti.
