Linguine's weight-lifting older brother is fettuccine, a heftier, wider pasta - although ours tempers its breadth and length with a fine texture (thanks to the artisanal care used in making it) and a rather dashing, romantic character, not unlike many Italian food aficionados. If you are one of these people (or are planning to feed one of these people), pair your fettuccine with a creamy sauce such as Vodka Sauce, and enjoy the excellent effect.
