Manicotti

Manicotti means "sleeve" in Italian, and these delicate pasta crepes are just right for stuffing with cheese, meat, sautéed vegetables or some mixture of all three.  Manicotti (also known as cannelloni) became popular around Naples during World War II, and from there became a favorite in America as well. Wrap these fresh-made pasta circles around your favorite filling, dress with marinara or a beefy pasta sauce and bake until the cheese and sauce and filling melt together.
