Spicy Italian Sausage Cheese Dip

An American favorite, we've combined our homemade spicy Italian sausage with cream cheese, sweet red peppers and juicy diced tomatoes for a dip that deserves a standing ovation.

Ingredients:

  • 1 pound DeLallo Hot Italian sausage, loose
  • 1 cup chopped onions
  • 1 (14.5-ounce) can DeLallo Diced Tomatoes in Juice
  • 1/2 cup DeLallo Roasted Red Peppers, chopped
  • 1 (8-ounce) package cream cheese
  • 1 (16-ounce) container sour cream

Directions:

In a large saucepan, cook sausage over medium-high heat until browned, about 7 minutes. Drain sausage drippings, then add onions. Cook together for about 2 minutes. Turn down heat to medium-low; add tomatoes and red peppers. Simmer for 15 minutes.

Remove from heat then stir in cream cheese and sour cream. Serve with tortilla chips, bruschetta toasts or a starch of your choice.
