Pignoli Nuts

Pignoli Nuts, also known as pine nuts, are the seeds of the stone pine, and are used in a wide variety of Italian dishes, both savory and sweet, including pesto, cookies and cakes. We like to toast them in a dry cast-iron skillet over low heat to enhance the flavor before tossing them into recipes where their pliable texture and nutty flavor can be enjoyed.
