Ingredients

  • 8 ounces DeLallo Shellbows
  • 4 cups unsalted chicken bone broth
  • 4 cups water
  • Kosher salt, to season
  • 2-3 tablespoons butter
  • 1/3 to 1/2 cup DeLallo Parmigiano-Reggiano, freshly grated, plus more for garnishing
  • Cracked black pepper, to taste

Directions

  • Bring the chicken bone broth, water, and kosher salt to a boil in a large pot. Add the Delallo Shellbows and cook until al dente according to the package directions.
  • Reserve 1/2 cup of the cooking liquid before draining the pasta. Return the pasta to the warm pot and add the butter. Toss until completely melted.
  • Gradually add the freshly grated Parmesan cheese and black pepper, tossing continuously. Add a few tablespoons of the reserved cooking liquid as needed until the sauce becomes creamy and coats every piece of pasta.
  • Finish with the freshly cracked black pepper and toss once more to combine. Serve immediately with extra Parmesan cheese and freshly cracked black pepper.
