
Whole-Wheat Fusilli With Creamy White Bean Sauce
A healthy take on the classic Alfredo, this creamy dreamy white bean sauce is one for your recipe box! We partner it up with our hearty whole-wheat springs for a pasta dish you have to try to believe.
INGREDIENTS
- 1 (1-pound) package DeLallo Whole-Wheat Fusilli
- 2 (14-ounce) cans DeLallo Imported Cannellini Beans, drained
- 2 cloves garlic
- 1 teaspoon DeLallo Extra Virgin Olive Oil, plus more for drizzling
- ½ cup 2% milk
- 1 cup DeLallo Grated Parmesan
- 1 teaspoon salt
- 2 teaspoons black pepper
- ½ teaspoon red pepper flakes
DIRECTIONS
- Bring 5 quarts of salted water to a boil. Cook the pasta according to package instructions. Drain, reserving 1/2 cup of the pasta water.
- Pulse the beans, garlic, oil, milk, cheese, salt and pepper in a food processor. Blend until smooth.
- Add the bean sauce to a large sauté pan and cook until heated through, about 5-10 minutes.
- Add the pasta, reserved pasta water and pepper flakes to the sauce. Cook together for another 5 minutes.
- Divide into bowls or serve family-style. Top with a drizzle of olive oil and serve.
