Peppers are picked at the peak of ripeness, then slowly roasted for an authentic chargrilled flavor. Roasted Red Peppers are packed in water to preserve their flavor, color and texture. We use only whole peppers with the seeds and stems removed.

These peppers are packed whole in water and ready to use in a number of kitchen creations—from quiche to tuna salad to picnic pasta salad. Some folks opt for homemade roasted red peppers, which is typically done on a parchment-paper-lined baking sheet or sheet pan. To roast the peppers yourself, preheat the oven while you coat the red bell peppers in olive oil. Place cut-side down and roast until tender and browned.

While pimento peppers are red, they are not the same as the red bell peppers that make up our Roasted Red Peppers in Water. Pimento peppers are heart-shaped red chili peppers Depending on the recipe, pimento peppers might pass for red bell peppers. They are both sweet, mild and red in hue.
