Ingredients

  • 2 cups heavy cream
  • 3 tablespoon butter
  • 1 (1-pound) box DeLallo Potato Gnocchi
  • 1 (6.7-ounce) jar truffled mushrooms, drained
  • ½ cup grated Parmigiano Reggiano, plus more for serving
  • ¼ teaspoon salt
  • ¼ teaspoon ground black pepper

Directions

  • In a large skillet, heat cream on low heat. Whisk in butter and simmer until combined.
  • Meanwhile, bring a large pot of salted water to a boil. Add gnocchi and cook until they float to the top, about 4 minutes. Drain, reserving ½ cup water for finishing sauce.
  • Stir in mushrooms, hot gnocchi and cheese. Salt and pepper to taste. Cook together for another 2 minutes to marry flavors. Add reserved starchy pasta water to thin sauce, if desired.
  • Serve immediately topped with grated cheese.
