  • Preheat the oven to 475˚F.
  • In a 10-inch ovenproof skillet, heat the olive oil over medium-high heat. Add the garlic and cook until fragrant and just golden, about 1 minute.
  • Stir in the tomato paste. Cook for 2 minutes. Add the crushed tomatoes to the skillet. Reduce the heat to medium and cook for another 5 minutes.
  • Add the beans, water, Italian seasoning and red pepper flakes. Season with salt and pepper. Stir to combine.
  • Evenly sprinkle the cheese on top, and then, transfer the skillet to the oven. Bake until cheese is melted and begins to brown, about 10 minutes. For more browning, place the skillet under the broiler for 2 minutes. Serve and enjoy.
