Three Greens Orecchiette with Pesto
For those of us who can’t get enough green! We introduce our toasty, nutty Whole-Wheat Orecchiette to a tasty sauté of our favorite greens: sweet peas, broccoli rabe, chopped green onions and our beloved Basil Pesto. This orecchiette pesto dish is perfect for the warmer weather of spring.
- Bring a large pot of water to a boil. Cook pasta according to package instructions.
- In a large saucepan, sauté olive oil with onion, broccoli rabe and pepper flakes.
- Cook together for about 5 minutes, or until vegetables are tender.
- Stir in cream and peas. Cook together for 2 minutes, stirring continually.
- Add pesto. Stir to thoroughly combine.
- Toss with hot pasta in saucepan and cook together for another 2 minutes to marry flavors. Serve immediately.
