  • Bring a large pot of salted water to a boil. Cook pasta according to package instructions.
  • Meanwhile, heat butter and olive oil in a large heavy-bottomed skillet. Add garlic. Season with salt and pepper. Sauté until fragrant, about 4 minutes.
  • Add sausage and rosemary. Using a wooden spoon, break apart the sausage. Cook until sausage is browned and cooked through, about 6-8 minutes.
  • Add the wine. Scrape any browned bits from the bottom of the pan. Add the clams in an even layer. Cover and cook clams until they open.
  • Add canned clams and capers to the skillet. Cook together for another 2 minutes to marry flavors.
  • Add cooked pasta (al dente) to the pan. Toss with clam sauce to coat.
  • Serve sprinkled with crushed red pepper flakes.
