Gnocchi with Cabbage & Kielbasa

This hearty gnocchi dish is as easy as it is satisfying and sure to be your next go-to weeknight comfort food. Featuring garlicky buttery cabbage and pillowy potato pasta with savory kielbasa coins, this simple sauté is ready to take on any appetite.

INGREDIENTS

  • 16 ounces kielbasa, sliced into ¼” rounds
  • 1 tablespoon DeLallo Extra Virgin Olive Oil
  • 1 tablespoon butter
  • 1 medium chopped onion
  • 1 medium green cabbage sliced thin, core removed
  • 2 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 (16-ounce) package DeLallo Potato Gnocchi
  • Salt and pepper to taste

DIRECTIONS

  1. Heat oil in a large skillet on medium-high heat. Add the kielbasa and cook, stirring occasionally until nicely browned, about 7-10 minutes. Remove kielbasa from the pan and set aside.
  2. Add the butter and onion to the same pan. Cook for 3-4 minutes, stirring occasionally.
  3. Add the cabbage to the pan. Cook for 10-15 minutes, stirring often. Stir in the garlic and kielbasa.
  4. Meanwhile, bring a large pot of salted water to a boil. Add gnocchi and cook according to package instructions. Once they float to the top, about 4 minutes. remove with a slotted spoon. Add gnocchi directly to the kielbasa and cabbage in the pan. Stir to combine.
  5. Serve divided into 4 bowls.
