Olive and Antipasto Christmas Tree

Just when you thought holiday entertaining might fall flat, we show you how to take it to the next level: 3D, that is! Loaded with bold, bright and briny flavors, this olive tree is both eye-catching and delicious. INGREDIENTS

  • 1 lb. DeLallo Pitted Calamata Olives
  • 1 lb. DeLallo Gigante Green Pitted Olives
  • 1 (4.3-oz.) jar DeLallo Sweet & Tangy Pepper Drops, drained
  • 8 oz. Mozzarella
  • 2 oz. Provolone, cut into a 1"""" thick star
  • 4 sprigs fresh rosemary
  • Equipment:
  • 18” Styrofoam cone
  • Aluminum foil
  • Toothpicks

DIRECTIONS

  1. Wrap aluminum foil around Styrofoam cone to cover completely.
  2. Beginning with the bottom row, create three rows of toothpicks by inserting them firmly into the cone.
  3. Skewer Green Pitted Olives and Calamata Olives onto the toothpicks.
  4. Continue working in rows of 3 until the cone is completely covered in olives.
  5. Fill in the gaps at random with skewered Pepper Drops and mozzarella (like bulbs).
  6. Stamp provolone with the cookie cutter to create a star. Carefully skewer the star on its thin side to place at the top of the cone.
  7. Cut rosemary into small sprigs and garnish tree.
  8. Serve with your favorite toasts, spreads, dried fruits and nuts.
