  1. Bring a large pot of salted water to a boil. Cook gnocchi according to package instructions. Once gnocchi float to the top, they are done. Drain well.
  2. In a nonstick pan with 1 teaspoon of butter, toast gnocchi until lightly golden over medium-high heat, about 5 minutes.
  3. Meanwhile, in a large serving bowl, whisk pesto with olive oil until combined. Toss hot gnocchi pasta in bowl with pesto until generously coated.
  4. Top with grated cheese and serve.
