Ingredients

Directions

  • Combine the ingredients for the flank steak marinade.
  • Add steak and let it marinate for at least 2 hours.
  • Meanwhile, place bread slices in medium bowl. Pour golden balsamic vinegar on top and let it stand until bread softens, about 15 minutes.
  • Transfer bread mixture to a food processor. Add parsley, olive oil, caperberries, anchovy fillets, and lemon zest and juice. Process until almost smooth.
  • Transfer the sauce to a medium bowl. Season with salt and pepper to taste.
  • Heat grill over medium high heat. Remove the steak from the marinade and generously season with salt and pepper.
  • Place the steak on the grill for 4-6 minutes on each side. Cook until medium rare or medium, depending on your preference.
  • Place cooked steak on a cutting board and let it rest for 10 minutes.
  • Slice the flank steak against the grain and serve with the green sauce.
  • Note: The sauce can be made 1 day ahead. Cover and refrigerate. Let stand at room temperature for 1 hour and whisk it to combine ingredients before serving.
