Olive Oil & Sea Salt Focaccia Bread

You thought baking up a homemade Italian-style focaccia was too much work… and then you found this recipe! Made with our Italian Pizza Dough Kit, this oven-baked flatbread is so easy to prepare. Top it with fresh rosemary for a subtle herbaceous flavor.

  • Combine flour mix and yeast packet in a large mixing bowl with 1 1/4 cups lukewarm water. Stir with a fork until dough begins to form.
  • Knead by hand for 3 minutes, or until dough is soft and smooth. Transfer to a clean, lightly oiled bowl and cover tightly with plastic wrap. Allow the dough to rise in a warm place until doubled, about 45 minutes. (After this step, you can refrigerate for use within 1-3 days.)
  • Preheat oven to 450˚F. Grease a 13" x 9" baking pan with olive oil.
  • Once dough has risen, transfer to the baking pan and press it to fit the size of the pan. Note: If dough is too elastic and keeps snapping back, allow it to rest for a few more minutes and come back to it.
  • Press the top of dough with your fingertips to create small imprints. Brush the top of the focaccia with olive oil and sprinkle with sea salt and rosemary. Bake for 20-25 minutes or until golden brown.
  • Cut and serve at room temperature.
