Gnocchi With Pancetta, Peas & Cheese

  • Melt the butter in a large ovenproof skillet over medium heat. Add the onion and cook until soft, about 5 minutes. Add the pancetta and continue to cook until lightly browned.
  • Add chicken broth and water to the skillet and bring it to a simmer. Then add the gnocchi*, stir and cover, and cook for 5 minutes.
  • Stir in the peas, cream, and salt and pepper.
  • Sprinkle cheeses on top of the gnocchi mixture and place it under the broiler until golden brown. Remove from the oven and serve.
